"imageless thought" 2/13/2013 note

Wurtzburg school "expanded upon" Wundtian psychology:  superordinate v subordinate associations... a "determining tendency" (ie. "mental set") exposed the "mind's [potential] preparedness to perform a task by unconscious means."  "imageless thought" that is, is subject to subordinance to institutional "mind sets" through visual propaganda filling in for the absent associated visual superordinate.

all the more reason to learn to "think visually" for one's self.
