I've been thinking visually about this for some time now... since a physics grad student room mate of mine danced for me the propagation of light---couldn't help but imagine a single event like this piercing the waters on earth and thereby fashioning the first helical eddies upon which organic compounds formed their ladders to seeming independent motion; and this chain of life now is being pulled apart like taffy. just some thoughts...
